At Barefoot, we responsibly source the most delicious culinary coffees. Our beans, Cold Brew coffee and cafes have won awards from Food & Wine Magazine, Huffington Post, 7x7 among many others.
Like wine grapes, we seek high quality traceable coffee beans grown in fertile soil, often in higher elevations, with ideal climates. Hand-picked when ripe ensures wildly delicious coffees!
Our cafes in Campbell and Solana Beach, California offer all of our delicious specialty coffee creations. We curate food and ingredients from the finest artisans, many of whom offer organic, gluten free or sustainable products.
SMALL BATCH ROASTING
Combining the science of coffee with our expert culinary palates, we roast to order in small batches. This highlights origin terroir and coaxes out the full complexity of flavor that is already present in the green coffee just waiting to emerge and dazzle your taste buds.
LIGHT VS DARK ROASTS
Our roasts focus more on developing actual flavor notes. Do you really want "smokey" coffee? Black, shiny beans may look good, but it generally means those beans are over-roasted (ie, burnt) and that's what you'll taste. The shiny oils should be on the inside of the bean!
As one of the pioneers of Direct Trade sourcing, we buy from the most conscientious producers and select coffees that take our breath away.
The higher price we pay for our green beans not only help our farming partners earn more money, but educational programs lead to better sustainable farming practices.
By sourcing the best beans and hand-crafting each roast, we extract flavors like banana split sundae, guava, chocolate ganache, cola berry and thick dollops of plum molasses. Are you craving Barefoot Coffee yet?
Fresh Ingredients, Tasty Meals
At Claire’s on Cedros, we have created a menu with only the finest ingredients! Our espresso and coffee is ground here daily. Our drip coffee is made from our own blend of Sumatran & Guatemalan Coffee Beans roasted by Calabria Coffee Roasters of San Diego (available for retail purchase at Claire’s Too). Our espresso is a 5 bean blend from Calabria, creating a rich créma in every shot! We even “cold brew” a smooth Kyoto Coffee!
Valencia Oranges are juiced here daily for the freshest glass of orange juice around!
We only serve free range, veggie-fed brown eggs from Eben-Haezer
Poultry Ranch of Ramona
100% pure Vermont Maple Syrup tops off your pancakes or French Toast.
Our water is purified by reverse osmosis.
All our breads are delivered daily from Bread & Cie Bakery of San Diego, and Prager Brothers of Carlsbad.
Our pastries are made in house and are from Isabelle’s French Bakery of Encinitas.

We offer a selection of drinks, like our popular True Love, a variety of sandwiches, as well as bagels and pastries - which are supplied by a local favorite, VG donuts. And if you’re feeling like breakfast, don’t worry, we serve it all day.
